JOHANNESBURG - Gauteng premier David Makhura is expected to
deliver the provincial mid-term report. He says the Midterm Review demonstrates that
substantial progress has been made during the first half of the 2014-2019 term
of office in implementing the GPG’s mandate.
Makhura says despite sluggish growth in the global and
domestic economy, Gauteng has remained resilient as the economic and industrial
hub of South Africa and the SADC region.
He says in addition to laying firm foundations for radical
economic transformation, advances have been made in accelerating social
transformation and in building an accountable, responsive, compassionate and
clean government in the Province.
